Abstract. Obstacles in the n-dimensional Euclidean space are considered which are disjoint unions of finitely many convex bodies and satisfy the condition (H) of M.Ikawa. Given such an obstacle K, denote its exterior by Q, and let s(t,a,b) be the scattering kernel related to the wave equation in RxQ with Dirichlet boundary condition. It is shown that, among the obstacles in consideration, K is completely determined if one knows the singularities of s(.,a,b) for almost all pairs of unit vectors (a,b).
