ABSTRACT.  We point out a class of ``many-channel hamiltonians'' naturally 
associated to vector space structures and we study their spectral 
properties (essential spectrum and Mourre estimate). 
The N-body dispersive regular systems as well as perturbed 
multi-stratified media are covered by our formalism.
