Operator-Norm Convergence of the Trotter Product Formula for Sectorial 
Generators

ABSTRACT.  The operator-norm convergence of the Trotter product formula is known for 
self-adjoint semigroups with compactness or smallness conditions on the 
generators involved in this formula. We generalize these two types of results to 
sectorial generators.
