An Example of a Quantum Ergodic System

ABSTRACT.  We prove that the time average over the quantum evolution of a system of infinitely many
harmonic oscillators whose classical flow is ergodic with respect to the Gibbs measure has a limit
equal to the relevant classical phase average, and therefore independent of the initial state
provided it belongs to the image of the quantum Gibbs measure.
