Variational computation of homoclinic orbits for twist maps.

ABSTRACT.  This paper presents a method for computing homoclinic orbits for twsit
maps of the d-dimensional annulus, as critical
points of a function. It is similar to the method used for periodic
orbits. This method is used for proving the existence of orbits homoclinic
to fixed points satifying certain (simple) conditions.
