Commutator Bounds for Eigenvalues of Some Differential
Operators

ABSTRACT.  We give examples of upper bounds on eigenvalue gaps for some
operators from classical physics and quantum mechanics, using a
theorem which we proved in a separate paper.  This is related to
earlier work of Hook, Harrell, and Davies and Harrell.
