ABSTRACT.  The authors point out an error in a sublemma in Section 5
of the paper "On the spectra of randomly perturbed expanding maps"
(Comm. Math. Phys. 156 (1993) pp. 355-385; mp_arc number 92-188).
The claims in Theorems 3 and 3' of that article are revised
accordingly. (Other results are not affected.)
