The Eigenvalue Sum for a Three-Dimensional Radial Potential

ABSTRACT.  We obtain a sharp semiclassical expansion for the sum of the
negative eigenvalues of a Schr\"odinger
operator in $R^3$ with a radial potential with a
Coulomb--type singularity. This is part 5
in the saga of 7 papers devoted to the proof
of the $Z^{5/3}$-term in the atomic energy asymptotics.
