On the Evolution of a Reflection Coefficient Under the KdV Flow

ABSTRACT.  We are concerend with the KdV equation on the full-line with real non-decaying initial profile. We find the time evolution of a (relative) reflection coefficient. An inverse spectral formalism is also considered for a certain mixed problems on the full-line.
