ABSTRACT.  We discuss the distribution of eigenvalues of the Schr\"odinger operator with a complex potential $V$ in the complex plane. In particular, we obtain an estimate of the sum of powers of imaginary parts of eigenvalues by the $L^p$-norm of ${\Im V}$.
