A Characterization of Bound States of Nonlinear Wave and Schrodinger Equations

ABSTRACT.  We prove for a class of nonlinear wave and 
Schrodinger equations that bound state solutions are almost 
periodic in time. As an application we show how to use this result 
to establish necessary conditions for the existence of bound 
states.
