Good Local Bounds for Simple Random Walks

ABSTRACT.  We give a local central limit theorem for simple random walks on Z^d, including Gaussian error estimates. The detailed proof combines standard large deviation techniques with Cram r-Edgeworth expansions for lattice distributions.
