The Problem of Blow-up in Nonlinear Parabolic Equations

ABSTRACT.  The survey paper reviews  the main topics of blow-up for
nonlinear parabolic equations. It then concentrates on the work
of the authors on the shape of blow-up, continuation after
the blow-up time, existence of  peaking solutions and instantaneous
blow-up. Developments for related  subjects like extinction 
and notice about results for other equations are given.
